There are two key factors that determine how much benefit you get from juicing fruits and vegetables. The quality of the juice is really what we are after and the resulting juice is a direct correlation to the quality of the ingredients as well as the juicer used to produce the juice. It is important that the fruits and vegetables going into the juice are fresh and organically grown. This means no chemicals were used in the production process from fertilizers to packaging and transporting. We are trying to rid our bodies of toxins and these chemicals would defeat one of the main purposes of juicing. Statistically, produce in the supermarkets are a couple weeks old by the time they get to your kitchen. The best way to get the freshest fruits and vegetables for your juice is by buying from local farmers and using quality ingredients when creating any juicer recipe is important to getting the most out of your juicing habit.
